Fortune PR Trained AIESEC AYC Teamsters

training_aycAs part of the support for the ASEAN Youth Congress (AYC) 2011 held by AIESEC, Fortune PR gave practical communications training to the team leaders and teamsters of the event on Sunday (March 20, 2011) at Gedung Galaktika, South Jakarta. Team leaders and teamsters are the volunteers who will be helping the AYC committee on April 25-30, 2011 in Indonesia. The training went from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. with sessions on building confidence in public speaking and event promotion. The trainers are Evi Andarini (PR consultant) and Mayana Budi Utami (IBD Director) who had years of experience in strategic communications industry. There was also a testimonial session by Azka Viraya, now a 9th grader, who has won many public speaking competitions locally and nationally. There were 12 selected trainees who came from various universities to attend the sessions.  

ASEAN Youth Congress is a regional congress aiming to activate leadership of youth, to connect youth leaders, to empower young leader to make real positive impact for society among SEA Countries. It is a platform for young people to discuss SEA issues, to engage in leadership skills training, and design/empower project/business plan that will be implemented after the congress. This congress will be divided into two parts. The first part being the Main Congress, will be held on April 25-27, 2011 in Jakarta. based on the LEADPRENEUR education for all the expected 1,000 Delegates and the second part being the Congress Camp which is to be held on April 28-30, 2011 in Bogor for a selected group of Delegates to receive project management skills, training, resources as well as set down actual action plans to implement these quality designed projects and positively Impact their society and communities.

The objectives of the AYC are to:

  • Activate Leadpreneurship of Youth among ASEAN Countries
  • Connect Youth Leaders in ASEAN
  • Strengthen unity and understanding among ASEAN Countries through Youth
  • Boost ASEAN Countries positioning in International Network
  • Deliver more impact on society through social projects
