Citilink and Chartis Launch Citilink Shield

ct_shield_1_2Jakarta, November 30, 2012 – In response to the market demand for travel protection, PT Citilink Indonesia (Citilink), subsidiary of PT Garuda Indonesia, Tbk., a low cost airline (LCC), launched its new service – Citilink Shield, a travel insurance solution providing maximum protection for Citilink passengers. The product launch was marked with a signing ceremony between Citilink and PT. Chartis Insurance Indonesia (Chartis) held in the Head Office of Citilink at Citicon Tower, 16th fl, West Jakarta.

Citilink Shield is a travel insurance service specially designed with features and benefits from Chartis Travel Guard which provides 24 hours / 7 days a week coverage for any unforeseen events such as flight cancelation, flight delay, lost baggage and others.

“We launched Citilink Shield in response to our loyal passenger needs for their maximum convenience during their trip. As part of our commitment in providing best services for our passegers, we are establishing a partnership to launch Citilink Shields with Chartis, a leading general insurance provider in Indonesia and throughout Asia Pacific especially for travel insurance,” said Arif Wibowo, CEO PT. With premium amounts starting from IDR18,000 , passengers will receive financial compensation if there is a flight delay within stated periods. Such as for 6 hours delays, Citilink passenger will get compensation up to IDR450,000/hours. For lost or broken baggage, passenger will received up to IDR5,500,000. Citilink Shield also provides coverage if there is sick or illness during the trip, accident and flight cancellation.

“Passenger with return ticket will get protection start from check-in until their back to their return city, while for one-way ticket, the protection will applied from check-in until they leave the airport in destination city,” said Arif.

Every passenger can purchase Citilink Shield through online ticket booking in www.citilink.co.id. This service is provided for all Citilink passenger from 2 to 75 years old, domestic flight and international flight that will be provided in the future.
