The era of ASEAN Economic Communities which will be started by the end of this year opens opportunities of free trade for both goods and services among ASEAN countries, including manpower exchange. As one of the countries with biggest population in the world, Indonesia is expected to be able to prepare and improve the quality of their human resources. Understanding this condition, Kenneth He, Vice President Channel, PT ZTE Indonesia, stated his opinion, “In facing the era of AEC (ASEAN Economic Communities), the competitiveness of Indonesian migrant workers shall be enhanced immediately. One of the ways for that is by preparing the students –the young generation– to have the competency to compete with the foreign workers. Currently, 70% residents of East Java are Vocational High School graduates. To avoid the gap between Vocational High School graduates and regular High School graduates, an international standard training program for these Vocational High School students is highly needed.”

To answer those challenges, ZTE, together with their strategic partner, TRUST Training Partners, presents a special training program for Vocational High School students majoring technical information in East Java. ZTE composes a special curriculum which enables the participants to explore more about their field of study, how to implement the technology, as well as to gain the benefit for the nation development. At the end of training, the participants will be required to participate in competition and the winner will be awarded with a scholarship, as well an opportunity to work abroad. All the participants will receive international standard certificate.

“Having an international standard certificate is one way to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian workers. We would like to gladly help the Indonesian government, especially the government of East Java to develop and improve the quality of human resources in this city. By signing the MoU, I hope ZTE can support Indonesian people to be ready to compete in the era of AEC,” said Kenneth He.

“We are proud to be trusted by ZTE to support the implementation of the international certified training program. Together with ZTE, hopefully we can support the government of East Java in presenting the best education to its citizens,” said Clara Rahmatharun, Director of TRUST Training Partners.
